12 - Week Foundational Course designed for small intimate groups

Immanuel Prayer Nest

Discover the Immanuel Prayer Experience Developed by Dr. Karl D. Lehman, a Christian psychiatrist The Immanuel Prayer is a powerful 12-week journey for small home groups. Designed from Dr. Lehman’s years in clinical psychiatry and enriched by Dr. Jim Wilder’s neuro-theology insights, this method goes beyond traditional prayer. establishing a tangible, interactive connection with Jesus first, and then bringing that connection into the process of healing What sets it apart: Start with presence. Instead of delving into pain first, participants ground in a meaningful memory or moment and use gratitude to open relational circuits in the brain. Interactive connection: Once the brain is primed and Jesus's presence is perceived, participants engage directly with words, thoughts, or emotions in real-time communion. Process with Jesus: Now, painful memories can safely surface. Throughout, participants “go with Jesus into the memory,” welcoming His presence as a healing companion Brain science aligned: Activating the prefrontal cortex through gratitude while calming the amygdala paves the way for trauma to be integrated, rewiring neural pathways through neuroplasticity. What you’ll experience each week: 1. A short prayer inviting God’s presence and protection. 2. A memory or “appreciation seat” to reconnect with Jesus. 3. Perceiving and interacting with Jesus—listening, asking, or sensing His guidance. 4. With His presence established, any distressing memory is revisited—this time with Jesus beside you. 5. Closure focused on gratitude and connection, fostering lasting healing. Why it works: By placing the relational experience of Jesus first, the method mirrors therapeutic best practices—integrating trauma in a safe environment and supporting emotional resilience. The result? Participants consistently report deeper intimacy with God, long-term emotional shifts, and a newfound inner peace. IMMANUEL PRAYER FOR HEALING THE HEART"

Trauma Informed

When God Designed the Brain… He Made a Way to Survive Trauma Let me tell you something most people (even in ministry) don’t realise: Dissociation isn't a disorder. It's design. God created your brain to protect you. When life got too heavy, your brain activated a powerful survival switch: Dissociation – not dysfunction, not weakness. A God‑given shield to protect your heart and soul. But here’s the catch… Your amygdala spikes (fight‑flight‑freeze). Your hippocampus—the memory keeper—gets fuzzy. Your story becomes fragments, sensations, flashbacks. You feel scattered. And it’s not your fault. This is brain science. This is trauma. This is God’s mercy in a broken world.

Trauma Informed

What Does It Look Like When We're Trauma‑Informed? 1. Realizing & Recognizing Trauma: Understanding trauma is common and powerful. Seeing behavior or memory gaps as survival adaptations, not failures. 2. Responding with Safety & Respect: Asking “What happened to you?” instead of “What’s wrong with you?” Creating an environment that’s physically, emotionally, and spiritually safe. 3. Building Trust, Choice & Empowerment: We Walk with you, not push you—letting you set the pace. You choose how deep to go: nothing forced, everything respectful. 4. Fostering Connection & Peer Support: Healing happens in community—through calm presence, shared stories, safe space. 5. Embracing Cultural, Historical & Personal Contexts: We honor your background, culture, gender, and personal story—because healing is not one-size-fits-all. 6. Actively Avoiding Re‑Traumatization: We don’t re-open old wounds without holy invitation and felt safety. Instead, we guide you gently toward connection—with Jesus and with yourself—valuing agency above all. In short: Being trauma‑informed means, we see the brain’s design, honour its survival work, and respond with grace, safety, and Jesus‑centered healing. We meet you where you are, walk at your pace, hold space for your story, and trust God’s presence to guide the journey.

What our clients are Saying :

Ben Rogers

The Immanuel Prayer allowed me to find that missing piece that had prevented me from experiencing the connection I craved to have with Jesus as a close friend. I always felt distant and unable to connect personally.. I have experienced many inner healing ministries in the past, but the Immanuel Prayer gave me the breakthrough I was looking for. Thank you so much, Libby, for the way you facilitated this process. I am truly blessed.

Jennifer Todd

During one of the hardest seasons of my life—when grief felt overwhelming. I had a series of Immanuel Prayer sessions with Libby. It truly was the best decision I could have made. In those sessions, I felt Jesus meet me right where I was “stuck” in my sorrow. What I discovered was profoundly simple: all I needed was His presence, and to know He was really with me. I had never experienced God like this before. It wasn’t about words or ideas; it was about sensing and experiencing Him beside me in my pain. Through Libby's gentle guidance and the Immanuel framework, I found a fresh, real relationship with Jesus. And with that came the deep peace I had been longing for. I wholeheartedly recommend Immanuel Prayer to anyone seeking to draw closer to Jesus and cultivate a more God-centered life. It’s not therapy, it’s an invitation into His compassionate presence that transformed me.
Ann Morcom "When I first heard about the Immanuel course, I think Libby sent us a video of a man who was a counsellor. He was talking about the sense of inadequacy in meeting the needs of the people he was seeing. God opened his awareness to the way our brains co-operate with happy memories (not certain of this – but think this is how it came about). I liked the attitude of the man involved and the gentleness. I listened to the video again and made notes. Then I decided to 'try' doing what the man talked about myself, here at this table. To my amazement, something happened. My happy place was being on our boat in the summer at Great Mercury Island. I can't remember the rest of that exercise, but was interested in the gentleness of it and that I did sense Jesus with me — the joy in His presence! I have two adult children who had lost their husband / wife to cancer in the previous year, and their lives seemed to have been traumatised. My life seemed to have been traumatised too, just seeing the pain and loss that my daughter and son were experiencing. I didn't feel to learn how to help others with the course offer — I was looking for help for the three of us. It felt a miracle really, that both my children agreed to come. We met with Libby each week for 2 or 3 hours or so for some weeks. I was agreeably surprised at the things that came to the surface. Libby explained the technicalities of what happens. Both my children seemed to understand that — I didn't. I got way lost, but when each of us were the subject of the ministry, we all met the Lord and were touched by Him. For me, it was beautiful. I'd experienced the presence of God when I was 28 years old. I discovered being 'born again', but hadn't experienced anything so profound since that time, now 55 years later. The intimacy, the gentleness, the love I experienced, was beautiful. When Libby asked us if we'd like to write about this experience, I found my initial notes from that very first time I'd watched the video. This morning in my quiet time, I thought of a 'happy time' and, with what I could remember and the notes, spent time with the Holy Spirit again — it was lovely!"
